The New York Times recently described Momenta as a “forward-thinking quartet,” and after the success of this year’s Momenta Festival IV we are already looking ahead to the Momenta Festival V with great joy and anticipation. As forward-thinking people do, we are working very hard to attain the financial means to make next year’s exciting festival a reality. We are inviting you to be a part of this unique project and hope that you will consider supporting the Momenta Quartet’s Momenta Festival V as part of your holiday giving plans.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 by the time the clock strikes midnight on December 31, 2018. Any amount that you can contribute will be fully tax-deductible and will help the Momenta Quartet further its eclectic vision and its passionate advocacy of both classical and contemporary music through a series of four unique concerts in New York City in October 2019.
And what will make these four nights unlike any other nights? With each concert curated by a different member of the ensemble, the Momenta Festival celebrates our plural aesthetic and the notion of true democracy inherent in the string quartet medium.
The Momenta Festival is self-produced, so we are relying on your donations to help us cover the costs of venue rental, technical equipment, a stage manager/producer, video/audio documentation, artist fees for the Momenta Quartet and our distinguished guests, the fabulous publicist Gail Wein, and adding to the jovial aura --custom brews by Sam Burlingame of BrewHeister.
