Empowering Artists Since 1986

The Field has adopted a remote work policy in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please email us as needed. Our artist services, including Sponsored Artist donation processing and general Membership inquiries, are proceeding on schedule. We are responding to emails and voicemails, and do not anticipate any requests taking longer than usual to resolve.

We are curating a list of direct resources for artists and organizations experiencing income loss and other troubles as a result of the COVID-19 crisis - and those who are able to help. Click here for the full list and email nancy(at)thefield(dot)org for additions or edits.

This Lance article provides an overview of Federal Unemployment and Freelancer Aid programs, and lists a state-by-state breakdown of how to apply for Unemployment and other Freelancer Aid resources.

The Field enables thousands of media and performing artists in NYC and beyond to thrive through creative programs, professional development workshops, and consultations. Founded by artists for artists, our organization also responds proactively to sector-wide issues with events like Activate Equity and the Field Leadership Fund: a fellowship offering real opportunities, compensation, and access to ambitious artists and arts managers.
