The Field serves artists on a completely non-exclusive basis; everything we do is open to artists from all aesthetic viewpoints, cultural backgrounds, and levels of development. By neutralizing (at least for a time under our auspices) concerns artists have that their work be evaluated as "good" or "bad," we encourage artistic proliferation, risk-taking, and originality without fear.

 

  • Fieldwork
    		• Weekly workshops where artists share works-in-progress and exchange feedback
  • Fielday
    		• Performance opportunities showcasing short works at various New York City venues
  • Artward Bound
    		• Creative group retreats at rural arts centers which provide individuals an immersion into their work
  • The FAR Space
    		• Field Artist Residencies offer free space in two formats, 4-months for rehearsals or two weekends for informal presentations
