Programs : Field Network


The Field Network is a consortium of artists, administrators, and organizations  located across the United States and beyond. The Network's mission is to create community sites of independent performing artists and facilitate communication among the Network.

Initiated by The Field in 1992, the Network offers sites a way to connect with artists and organizations across the country; at the same time supporting local integrity and autonomy, allowing each site to tailor program offerings to best meet its specific needs.

Most sites offer Fieldwork, which helps artists get feedback and support on their developing artwork. Several sites also present Fielday, festivals of short dance, music, performance art, and theater works. An annual conference in New York and touring partnerships keep artists connected, helping them develop projects like alternative touring structures and exchange programs.
