This all-expenses-paid creative retreat is for performing artists working in music, dance and theater. Participants have the opportunity to spend 10 days with a group of other artists in a beautiful, rural setting: making new work, rehearsing, giving and receiving critical feedback in Fieldwork workshops, and discussing their career paths. Open only to current Field Members who demonstrate a history of art making, participants are selected via lottery.
Summer 2012 will take five artists to Fire Island and will have a new twist! Applications will be available in May.

Residents have full use of the studio building, containing a 32’ x 50’ white box space with a sprung wooden dance floor, and large picture windows with sweeping mountain views. The studio also contains a sleeping loft with five beds, one private bedroom with two single beds, and a full bathroom. The farmhouse houses the residency kitchen, living room, bath room, a covered porch, one bedroom with three single beds, and MTA office space. Wi-Fi is available in the farmhouse; cell phones do not work here. mounttremperarts.org/residencies
