The Sponsored Artist Program offered by The Field enables performing artists and groups to accumulate the funds they need to make their artistic and career goals a reality. Sponsorship provides independent performing artists and groups with: eligibility to apply for most government, foundation, and corporate grants which require a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit status; eligibility to receive tax-deductible donations of both money and goods from individuals; and other services where 501(c)(3) status is necessary.

"Raise All You Want"

The Field offers sponsorship on a flat-fee basis.

  • No percentage will be deducted from your donations.
  • The fee is $150/year plus membership.
  • Whether you are applying for grants, sending out a solicitation letter, or having a benefit, you can raise all you want without any additional charges. At $150, once you raise more than $3,000, you are paying less than 5%! (The only exception is the 3% fee The Field is charged on credit card transactions - this fee will be deducted from donations artists receive this way.)

If you are only interested in access to Materials for the Arts, the Costume Collection, and other nonprofit benefits aside from financial contributions, those benefits are offered under membership.

If you are interested in becoming a Sponsored Artist:

    • Review the Sponsored Artist Contract*. It has been written to answer your questions and explain the various aspects of non-profit sponsorship.
    • Once you have digested this information, please contact Tanya Calamoneri to reserve a spot in a Sponsored Artist orientation meeting, held twice a month.
