Programs : Create : Performances - Fielday

Fielday is a non-curated opportunity for artists to develop their work through performance. Artists receive a performance slot, brief tech, and DVD of their work. Performance works from all artistic disciplines are welcome.   The Winter/Spring 2008 season features Fielday programs at Performance Space 122 (February 17) and Dance Theater Workshop (May 19). Our Fielday at Dance Theater Workshop is infused with a condensed Fieldwork workshop to allow artists to further develop their work.   In Summer 2008 we are offering a Fielday program at The Tank (June 22). OPEN CALL: Fielday Summer Madness Sunday, June 22, 2008, 7pm-10pm The Tank @ Collective: Unconscious Located at 279 Church Street (between Franklin & White)   Join us at The Tank for Fielday Summer Madness, featuring two floors of performance space and two unique performance opportunities:

	Fielday @ The Tank: UPSTAIRS Mainstage Presentation The main stage provides artists with a theatrical context to perform up to 15 minutes of original material.  Artists receive a mandatory 30-minute technical rehearsal the day of the show, access to low-cost video documentation, and will be included in The Field's marketing efforts.  You do not have to be a dancer or choreographer to perform on the main stage!  This opportunity is open to artists working in all performance-based forms. 	Fielday @ The Tank: DOWNSTAIRS Open Mic Madness For the price of regular admission you can sign up to reserve a 10-minute performance slot on the lower level, available on a first-come-first served basis.  Bring a poem, short story, monologue, stand up routine, costume, character, song, instrument...anything that might well work on a tiny platform alongside a cash bar.  There will be no technical support downstairs, just you and your art.  Consider this an opportunity to speak your mind, show your stuff, or just try something out!
