Economic Revitalization for Performing Artists (ERPA)
Through panels, dialogues and interactive events, Economic Revitalization for Performing Artists tackles the financial instability that performing artists face every day. Since 2008 ERPA projects have engaged more than 750 artists and cultural stakeholders, and regranted more than $90,000 to seven ambitious artist-entrepreneurs including award-winning theater company The T.E.A.M., barter network OurGoods.org, composer Nick Brooke, theater ensemble Conni’s Avant Garde Restaurant, dance company Equus Projects, performance poet kahlil almustafa and theater company Stolen Chair.

ERPA Outreach 2012
The Field is pleased to partner with BAAD! (Bronx Academy of Arts And Dance), The Fire This Time and Nuyorican Poets Cafe to offer Economic Revitalization for Performing Artists (ERPA) Outreach.
New York performing artists need support and guidance to succeed. The Field, BAAD!, Nuyorican and The Fire This Time all believe strongly in working together to move each other (and the arts) forward. We are banding together now because we feel that our disparate organizations and diverse artists can learn from each other so that we can all grow and prosper. ERPA Outreach aims to work primarily with artists of color and/or artists who identify as low-income, and to offer both transformational and transactional impact to generative performing artists who are ready to take the next big step forward in their careers.
From July to September of 2012, ERPA Outreach will serve eight artists through a short-term and high-impact learning opportunity in the form of four two-hour sessions of dynamic skill-building and resource sharing in arts management core topics like fundraising, marketing, contracts, negotiations and audience development.
